Occupational Therapist

– We’re seeking a dependable Occupational Therapist with excellent communication skills to join our team of 200 employees. You’ll be responsible for evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, and administering occupational therapies including heat, cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, iontophoresis, biofeedback, and manual techniques. You’ll be counted on to motivate your patients to achieve their highest possible level of function and ability.
state licensure is required. While

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must be high school graduate or have equivalent GED, and have completed an accredited Associates or Bachelors Nursing degree program and possess a current and unencumbered MO license to practice as an RN. OR or PACU experience preferred. Must maintain current ACLS, PALS and BLS accreditation according to BCMH policy and procedures. Should possess the age specific communication competency skills necessary to interact effectively with all age groups.

Should possess the ability to deal tactfully and work harmoniously with co-workers, patients, visitors, and the general public. Should also possess excellent verbal and written communication, good phone and interpersonal skills. Must be dependable and independent worker with good problem solving skills. Should also work well in a caring team atmosphere, assisting co-workers as needed. Must have customer service skills of patience, tactfulness, and friendliness when dealing with others. Must be able to multi-task, remain calm in chaotic situations, and use independent judgment skills as needed.
