CURRENT TAX LEVY

*$0.1083/$100 TAXABLE PROPERTY VALUATION

*2015 PROJECTED PROPERTY TAX REVENUE -           $ 186,424

*REQUESTED INCREASE OF $0.3249/$100 PROPERTY TAX VALUATION

*PROJECTED PROPERTY TAX REVENUE USING 2015 PROPERTY VALUATION - $  745,696

Example City Limits

A homeowner in the City of Lamar with a $100,000 home can expect an increase in taxes (based upon the 2015 levy) of $61.73.

$100,000 appraised value x 19% = $19,000 Assessed value

City of Lamar 2014 tax levy is 5.9509

Add the proposed increase of 0.3249 = 6.2758 levy

$19,000 x 5.9509% = $1130.67 estimated tax bill

$19,000 x 6.2758% = $1194.40 estimated tax bill

A homeowner in the City of Lamar with a $50,000 home can expect an increase in taxes (based upon the 2015 levy of $30.86.

Assessed value is calculated differently if outside city limits.
